Presnell’s discussion of proper research technique really seems much like common sense. However, what I so often forget is that when stressed we often lose our common sense. Again, Presnell delivers a wonderful refresher that simplifies the process greatly, but perhaps once again it gives the wrong impression.

Presnell’s approach can seem too simple, but maybe sometimes we need the simple things to be explicitly set out out for us. Maybe it’s better to be talked down to than miss something obvious? Hard to swallow when we feel we already know what we’re doing, though.
