This section of her book deals in part with the use of non-traditional source material. For example, music, photographs, movies, etc. Unfortunately I don’t think the Crusaders took any film of the seige of Jerusalem and the music of the time was limited and reserved in most part to the church.

Where there may not be any photographs nor film, there is a chance that there were paintings or other such art mediums used in recounting the siege. It would be good to see if there were artistic renderings of any part of the beginnings of the first crusade from that time period, or relatively near to it.
I have to agree with you because this section isn’t helpful for my topic. But, this section may be helpful for me in the future. The only part that I payed close attention to was the section of photographs because I will indeed use a lot of photographs for my project.
